About Coquinne

Meet Coquinne. Sometimes life simply isn’t fair. As much as her human wanted nothing more than to give Coquinne a loving home for the next 15 years or so, it was not meant to be. Serious illness got in the way, and sadly, it became impossible to continue caring for her.

At just over one year old, Coquinne has already known what it feels like to have a human who cares about her. She is a sweet little girl who clearly understands the comforts of being part of a family. Now, Animatch has promised to find her another special home where she can continue that tradition — a home where she will once again feel loved, secure and very much a part of the family.

Coquinne gets along well with other dogs and may enjoy sharing her life with another small canine companion. With all the recent changes and upheaval in her young life, she may need a little refresher in her toilet training as she settles into a new routine. A little patience and consistency should go a long way.

And then, of course, there is the matter of being a Dachshund and having to deal with the great outdoors. Rain and snow are apparently among the bane of a Dachshund’s existence, so be prepared for a shopping trip for some appropriate rain and winter gear. Coquinne would also appreciate it if you happened to pick up a toy or two while you’re there!

On a nice day, however, Coquinne is more than happy to head out for a long walk or another outdoor adventure. She is young, active and ready to enjoy life with her new family.

Experience with the breed would certainly be an asset. Dachshund lovers know that these little dogs come with plenty of personality packed into that long, low-to-the-ground body!
