Rambler here! My five littermates and I made quite the dramatic entrance at Animatch on a hot, steamy day—July 16th, to be exact. It’s a long story, but Mom took a few detours before finally making it to Animatch just in time to deliver three of us naturally. The other three decided they needed a little more medical assistance and arrived by C-section. And that, folks, is more than enough about our arrival!

Mom is a French Bulldog, and rumour has it that Dad was a Lab. We have absolutely no proof of that little tidbit, but judging by the six of us, someone is keeping a few secrets! In any case, we’ll soon be ready to hit the road, with each of us heading off to our own forever home. The best news of all? Mom already has a home waiting for her. She’s just counting the days until she can see the last of our little behinds and start her new life!

I’m also going to need a new photo shoot because I don’t look anything like the tiny, helpless creature in this picture anymore. These days, I’m a bona fide puppy—playing hard, sleeping hard and generally keeping everyone on their toes.

Now that Mom’s job is almost finished, my new family gets to take over. And that means training, socialization, patience and plenty of guidance. If you want me to grow into a well-mannered canine citizen, my family should be around for a good part of the day while I’m young. Puppy classes are also highly recommended—not only to help with the basics, but to teach me how to be the kind of dog who is welcome wherever I go.

And then there’s that word the Animatch people keep repeating: commitment. Apparently, it’s a pretty important one when you’re adopting a puppy. Before you fill out that application, make sure you understand what it means. I’m looking for a family who plans to be there for me through puppyhood, adolescence, adulthood and all the years that follow.
