Kiki is my name and I am a proud little Chihuahua. I arrived at Animatch with my bestie, Meeko. We came from a place where there were simply too many dogs. There’s a name for situations like that, but it doesn’t matter anymore. What matters is that I’m safe, I’m cared for, and I’m looking forward to discovering just how wonderful life can be.
Meeko and I know there’s a good chance our paths will eventually lead to different homes. Of course, we’ll miss each other, but we also know that finding loving, committed families is the greatest gift we could hope for. He’ll always have a special place in my heart, and I know he’s wishing the very best for me—just as I am for him.
Nobody sent me with an instruction manual listing my likes and dislikes, so my new family and I can discover those together. At just 6½ pounds and with a few years of wisdom under my collar, I would be happiest in a home without young children. Busy little hands and high-speed laps through the house aren't really my style. If you already have a calm, friendly small dog, I think we could become good companions. I haven't met any cats yet, but let's just say I'm not exactly an intimidating presence!
Please don't let the word "senior" fool you. Staying active is important to keep these little legs strong. Walks are meant to be enjoyed together—and no, I don't plan on spending them tucked away in your purse! Winter isn't exactly my favourite season, but we can always get creative. Mall walks, indoor games, or any adventure that keeps us moving sounds just fine to me. One thing I know for certain: I have no intention of spending the rest of my days staring at four walls.
