Hi, I’m Nelson and I’m not just another pretty face!

Sure, I may be small and handsome, but along with my good looks comes a big personality. My brother Johnson and I found ourselves homeless once, and I never want to experience that again. This time around, I’m looking for a forever home that really understands me.

Sometimes life makes me a little nervous. Because I only “speak dog,” I can’t always explain what worries me, but sudden movements — like reaching into my crate too quickly — can startle me. I might react, not because I’m “bad,” but because I’m unsure. Underneath it all, though, I’m just a little guy longing for patience, kindness, and understanding.

With a gentle approach and a bit of time to settle in, I warm up beautifully. Training would be a wonderful way for us to build trust and boost my confidence — we can learn together!

I get along with other dogs (they’ve never let me down) and would love to have a calm, well-balanced canine buddy to show me the ropes. Despite my size, I’m no couch potato; I’ve got plenty of energy and would be thrilled to join you on walks, adventures, and all the fun things life has to offer.

What I need most is an experienced, patient person who will give me the chance to shine. In return, I promise endless love, loyalty, and companionship.
