UPDATE: Romeo tested positive for heartworm and Anaplasma (a tick-borne disease). He will be given meds for one month and then have another blood test. Romeo will also be taking Simparico Trio for 18 months following.

Well, my past is a bit of a mystery. I can’t tell you much—I only speak dog—but what matters is that I’ve landed in the caring hands of Animatch. When I arrived, I was a matted mess, uncomfortable and unrecognizable. But thanks to the amazing Animatch groomer, the transformation has begun! I’m about a year old, and like most teenagers, I’m full of energy, enthusiasm… and not a whole lot of manners. I mean well, but I’ve been known to use humans as springboards in my excitement. The good news? I’m a Standard Poodle—smart as can be and eager to learn. Sign us up for some training classes, toss me a liver treat, and I’ll be showing off my good behavior in no time.

If you're dreaming of a laid-back couch potato, I'm probably not your guy. I’m more of a “let’s go hiking, then toss the ball, then try agility” kind of dog. I need an active home where my energy and intelligence can shine. I promise to keep you on your toes—and your heart full.

Now, let’s talk grooming. Poodles like me require regular upkeep. That means professional grooming every 6 to 8 weeks and frequent brushing at home.
