About Choupette

Some dogs seem to have all the luck. Sadly, Choupette’s luck has mostly been the opposite. You may recognize this sweet senior girl. Choupette once had a loving home, but when her owner had to move into assisted living, there was no place for her to go. She was entrusted to Animatch, and we promised we would find her another family. Last year, we thought we had done just that. Unfortunately, circumstances changed again, and Choupette has found herself back with us, looking for yet another home.

At 11 years old, Choupette did not deserve to be uprooted once, let alone twice. That is why we want to use her story as an important reminder: adopting a dog is a commitment. Whether a dog is a puppy or a senior, they depend on us for their entire lives.

Dogs need daily care, exercise, veterinary attention, and, most importantly, stability. In Choupette’s case, that also means regular brushing and professional grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best. She is healthy, active, and still has plenty of love to give, but what she needs most is a family that is prepared to be there for the rest of her days.

Now, enough of the serious stuff. Choupette is a wonderful companion who loves long walks and thinks car rides are one of life's greatest pleasures. After an outing, she is perfectly happy to curl up beside you for an evening of Netflix and relaxation.

Since she has never lived with young children, an adult home or one with children over 12 years old would be ideal. Choupette is also an excellent little watchdog and is always ready to announce visitors, so condo or apartment living may not be the best fit for her.

Let's make Choupette's next move her last one. She has spent enough time wondering where she belongs. Now she deserves a family that will show her what forever truly means.
