About Phoebe

Phoebe here! I arrived from Hilo, Hawaii with my best pal Oreo. Unlike some of my friends at Action 4 Animals, I was lucky enough to be adopted as a puppy. Unfortunately, life sometimes throws curveballs, and due to changes in my family's circumstances, they had to make the difficult decision to return me. The good news? It had absolutely nothing to do with me, and it means I got a great start in life.

Having lived with a family, I already know a thing or two about being part of one. I shared my home with another dog, and these days my BFF is sweet Oreo. We love to play together, and back in Hawaii we even attended Meet & Greets as a team. From what I've heard, we were quite the crowd-pleasers!

Of course, no dog is perfect. I may need a little refresher course on a few things -- like not dragging my human down the street on walks, keeping all four paws on the ground when I'm excited, and coming when I'm called. The good news is that I'm highly motivated by treats, which should make training much more enjoyable for both of us. Besides, nobody's perfect. I'm sure there are a few things you'd like to improve about yourself too!

I would love nothing more than to be part of a family again. I'm excited to explore everything my new country has to offer. Fall and winter will be completely new experiences for me, although all the volunteers keep telling me, "Enjoy the moment—this is the best season!" I'll reserve judgment until I've seen this mysterious thing called snow.
