Akemi means “bright beauty” in Japanese, and this lovely girl could not have a more fitting name. Transferred to Animatch by Action 4 Animals in Hilo, Hawaii, Akemi was originally picked up as a stray, but she hasn’t let her past define her. Instead, she greets each new day with a wagging tail, a joyful spirit, and an enthusiasm for life that is impossible to resist.

Akemi is the kind of dog who never met a stranger. Whether she’s making friends with people or fellow canines, she approaches everyone with warmth and confidence. Her happy-go-lucky personality makes her a delight to be around, and she’s always ready for whatever adventure comes next.
