About Chloe

Chloe is almost ready to begin the next chapter of her life — one filled with safety, kindness, and the love every dog deserves. Like the other Standard Poodles in our care, Chloe came to Animatch through Humane World for Animals Canada following a seizure involving dogs living in heartbreaking, unsanitary conditions.

The neglect and abuse these dogs endured is difficult to imagine, and recovery does not happen overnight. Chloe still carries the emotional scars of her past, but what she has accomplished so far is nothing short of remarkable. Day by day, she is learning that not all humans will hurt or fail her. Slowly, carefully, she is beginning to trust.

Animatch believes Chloe is ready to find that special person or family willing to continue helping her heal. Someone patient enough to understand that there will be setbacks, and compassionate enough to celebrate every small victory along the way. We know how much courage it has taken for Chloe to come this far, and we could not be prouder of her progress.

Moving into a home will be another big adjustment for Chloe. Change is frightening for dogs who have known so little stability and comfort. She will need time, patience, and understanding as she settles into a new routine and learns what it truly means to be part of a family.

Her ideal home would be a calm, adult household with people who have experience with shy or traumatized dogs. She would do best with someone who is home more often than not — Chloe has spent far too much of her life isolated and alone. A gentle, confident dog companion could also help show her that the world is not such a scary place.

Most of all, Chloe needs a family fully committed to loving her for the rest of her life. She deserves soft beds, tasty treats, peaceful days, and people who will love her unconditionally, no matter how long her journey takes.
