About Hector

Hector here, and I’m one grateful little guy! Animatch has opened its doors to me and promised to help me find a new home. You see, my 92-year-old human suffered a stroke and could no longer care for me. I know what it means to be loved, and I’m hoping to find that special someone who will help me turn the page and start a new chapter.

I’m a five-year-old Maltese mix, which means I come with a little fine print: regular brushing and trips to the grooming salon are a must to keep me looking handsome and mat-free. Grooming is part of the package, so please factor that into the budget!

One of my favourite times of day is when the dog walkers arrive. Getting out for walks is something I’ve missed for far too long, and I’m ready to get back into the swing of things. Walks, hikes and new adventures are all on my wish list, along with plenty of opportunities to put my nose to work. A good sniff-fest is hard to beat!

With so many changes in my life lately, I may need a little refresher in the toilet-training department. That’s not unusual when a dog’s world is turned upside down. Patience, consistency and a little time will go a long way. After all, Rome wasn’t built in a day!
