Sometimes life throws us a curveball, and there is simply no choice. That is how I find myself at Animatch. My beloved human became ill and could no longer care for me. It wasn’t what either of us wanted, but here I am, ready to find my next family. The good news? The folks at Animatch are determined to keep my stay short!

Tarzan is my name, and retrieving a ball is my game. I could play from dawn to dusk, with only a few brief breaks to catch my breath! So, if you’re looking for a Chihuahua who is happiest tucked under your arm or riding around in a purse, you might want to keep scrolling. I have places to go and balls to chase.

My other favourite activity is when the dog walkers arrive. That means pounding the pavement, checking out the neighbourhood and enjoying a serious sniff fest. Life is good when there are walks involved!

I do have a few quirks that my new family should know about. I have a loud, sharp bark and am not shy about using it as my personal siren whenever I think something suspicious is happening. For that reason, apartment or condo living is probably not my best match. I get along with other dogs, although I can sometimes be a bit of a bully with shy or smaller dogs. A little training would definitely help me polish my social skills.

I love respectful kids, especially those with a good throwing arm. Coincidence? I think not.

My new family may also need to brush up on their patience when it comes to toilet training. Let’s just say that rain, snow, wind and other forms of unpleasant weather can make me reconsider my outdoor responsibilities. I’m a work in progress!

What I really want is simple: to once again be part of a family who will love me, keep me busy and give me the forever home I deserve. My first human couldn’t help what happened, and now I’m hoping someone else will give me my next chapter.
