Update – Dec. 9
Hi, Cocotte here, reporting in from my Foster Home! Animatch decided I could use a little one-on-one time to show what I’m like when I’m not trying to supervise the entire dog population.
My foster mom says I’ve been an absolute delight. I’m not much of a barker—and when I do bark, it’s a quirky little sound that makes her think I may have been de-barked. I’m sharing space nicely with the family cat (we keep to our own corners), and I’m fine with the dogs in the house, too—as long as they’re not wild party animals.
Toilet training is still a work in progress, but I’m trying hard. Pee pads near the door help at night, and with patience we’ll get there together.
Cuddles? Oh yes, I’m excellent at them—but in moderation, please. After a few minutes of snuggles, I’m perfectly happy to toddle back to my soft, cozy bed. I’m a generally quiet girl, but show me liver treats and I might just do a little happy dance. When the weather isn’t too frosty, I love going for walks with my foster parents—just remember, a lady like me appreciates a warm coat on chilly days.
All in all, I’m a sweet, calm, 8-year-old companion who thinks puppies are way overrated. If you agree, fill in the Application Form and let’s find me my forever home!
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
My name is Cocotte, and I’m one of four dogs who came to Animatch after our human was hospitalized and could no longer care for us. Finding myself homeless at 8 years old wasn’t easy, but trust me—I’m a tough little cookie. When I first arrived, I made it clear that no one was going to push me around. I was the leader of my tiny troupe and took that job very seriously.
But once I realized that everyone at Animatch was here to help me, not hassle me, I softened right up. I don’t need to keep the other three in line anymore—I can finally take a breath, relax, and let myself be cared for. Turns out, being doted on isn’t so bad.
Now, let’s get one thing straight: I have never lived with children, and I don’t intend to start now. Grabby hands and “let’s chase the dog!” games are simply not on my agenda. I can coexist with another calm dog who understands that I am not signing up for wrestling matches or rowdy play sessions.
I’m even warming up to daily walks and discovering that exploring the outdoors is pretty enjoyable. I’m looking forward to strolling around my new neighbourhood someday—hopefully sooner rather than later.
So… think you can help turn my luck around? If you’re searching for a mature companion who’s up for some fun but also perfectly content to chill by your side at the end of the day, I might just be your girl.
Fill out that application form and ask for Cocotte. I’m ready for my next chapter.
