Dobi is my name and I am a glorious mix of two very energetic breeds — Weimaraner and Labrador. What could possibly go wrong?
My family loved me dearly, but unfortunately the other dog in the home didn’t share their enthusiasm. They felt it wasn’t fair for me to spend so much time separated and isolated for my own protection, so they made the difficult decision to help me find a better-suited home.
I have never met a stranger and I’ll happily prove it by launching myself toward you for kisses the moment we meet. I absolutely love going for long walks with the volunteer dog walkers — in fact, my personal mission is to see just how fast I can get them moving. Apparently, humans prefer something called “loose leash walking,” and rumor has it that training will help me master this mysterious concept. So yes, I will definitely benefit from continued training and structure.
At only 8 months old, I am deep into my teenage phase … full of enthusiasm, curiosity, energy, and just a touch of chaos. If you’re looking for a hiking buddy, jogging partner, camping companion, or adventure sidekick, I am all in. If your idea of exercise is walking to the mailbox, we may not be the perfect match.
I do well with dogs who can handle my exuberant play style, and sturdy children who understand how to respectfully interact with a dog. As for cats? Let’s just say I would probably find them endlessly fascinating and potentially very annoyed by my attention.
I’m searching for an active family who won’t leave me alone for long workdays on a regular basis. I’m still young and I need exercise, mental stimulation, guidance, and continued training to help me become the amazing dog I am capable of being.
