About Kemo Sabe

Kemo Sabe here, and I am a proud American Eskimo Dog! Before you tell everyone, "He's much too big to be an American Eskimo," let me save you the trouble. While many people are familiar with the Miniature variety, there are also Standard American Eskimos—and that's exactly where I fit in. And one more fun fact: despite my fluffy white coat, I'm not related to Huskies or Samoyeds. We all belong to the Spitz family, but we're our own wonderful breed.

Now, enough about my family tree—let's talk about me.

Sadly, I find myself looking for a new home because apartment living just wasn't the right fit. My barking wasn't appreciated by the neighbours, and being a reactive dog on leash made life in a busy downtown environment stressful for everyone. The truth is, I wasn't always this way. After being attacked by two dogs, I lost some of my confidence, and I now worry when I encounter unfamiliar dogs.

Animatch has promised to find me the fresh start I deserve, and they're looking for a family that can offer me a quieter lifestyle. A single-family home with a securely fenced yard would be my dream. I'd happily patrol for squirrels, keep an eye on the neighbourhood, and then settle in for some well-earned relaxation. I'm still a young, active fellow who enjoys long walks, plenty of sniffing opportunities, and daily adventures with my people.

Because of my past experiences, I'd probably be happiest as your one and only dog, although I'm learning that calm, friendly dogs aren't so scary after all. Cats, however... let's just say we're better off admiring each other from a distance.

Once I've settled into my new home, I'd love for us to take a training class together. It would help rebuild my confidence, strengthen the bond between us, and remind me that the world isn't such a scary place. I'm athletic, eager to learn, and I think I'd have a blast trying activities like agility or other dog sports.

One last thing—this gorgeous coat doesn't stay this way by accident! I need regular brushing to keep it looking its best, but please don't shave me. My double coat actually helps keep me comfortable in both warm and cold weather.

If you think we'd make the perfect team, fill out an application. I miss having a family to call my own, and I'm more than ready for my second chance.

Note: I had my official photo shoot today, so watch for new pictures coming soon
