Max is my name, and if you think it's tough finding homes for abandoned dogs these days, imagine trying to do it as a proud member of the Grey Muzzle Society. At 12 years young, I've earned my senior status, and I've discovered that life is all about appreciating the simple pleasures—a good meal, a warm bed, a leisurely stroll, and someone special to share them with.

I was found abandoned in a house with my pal, Cleo. We both deserved better than that. Now all I'm looking for is a family who sees my worth, not my age. I promise I'll be a loyal teammate and love you without judgment.

One of the perks of adopting a senior? We've mastered the art of patience. I'll happily let you enjoy that second cup of coffee before we head out for our walk. When you come home, you'll be greeted with a wagging tail that says, "I've been waiting for you."

I think I'd be happiest in an adult home. I might do fine with respectful kids, but my days of enjoying chaos are behind me. And while I take my neighbourhood security duties very seriously, that also means apartment or condo living probably isn't the best fit—I never hesitate to announce visitors or suspicious squirrels.

I recently had a dental, and I'm pleased to report that I still have six teeth left! Even better, I kept my canines, so my tongue stays where it belongs. That's what I call aging gracefully.
