Joe Louis here — proud Northern pup from Kuujjuarapik, professional cutie, and the only boy in a litter of six. Yes, I’m outnumbered by sisters, but I hold my own just fine. These days my schedule is very full: eat, play, nap, repeat. But Animatch says it’s almost time for the next big adventure — learning how to be a proper family dog (whatever that means).

If you’re thinking of adopting me, here’s the scoop: I’m a mix of several large breeds, which means I’m going to grow into an active, outdoorsy guy. Long walks, adventures, and fresh air are my jam — and no, I don’t believe in fair-weather only. Grab your tuque, lace up your boots, and let’s go! Puppy classes and basic training will help turn all this puppy enthusiasm into excellent manners (and maybe help me remember where to potty).

I’d love a home with another dog who doesn’t mind a slightly annoying little brother. Cats? Possibly — as long as they can handle the occasional “Is this a friend or a toy?” moment. Most importantly, I need a family who isn’t gone all day. Puppies like me require socializing, training, supervision, and lots of potty breaks sprinkled throughout the day.

Above all, I’m searching for a family who understands that adopting a puppy is a lifelong commitment — someone who will love me just as much when my muzzle turns grey as they do the day they fall for my puppy eyes.
