Copper, our handsome Cocker Spaniel, is once again looking for his forever home. Despite a sincere and loving effort from his previous adopters, it became clear that the environment simply wasn’t the right fit for him. In everyone’s best interest — especially Copper’s — the difficult decision was made to return him.
Copper is truly a wonderful boy. He is affectionate, gentle, and eager to bond with his people. What he needs most is a quieter home where he can feel secure and relaxed. Apartment or condo living isn’t ideal for him, as he tends to bark when he feels anxious. In the right setting, however, he settles beautifully.
He does well with other dogs, especially those with calm temperaments, and he can peacefully coexist with a cat. A steady routine and a peaceful household will help him thrive.

Hi, I’m Copper, and I’ve just been granted early retirement from a commercial breeder — my stud days are officially behind me! I’m ready to discover what being a real family dog is all about: daily neighbourhood walks, car rides, belly rubs, and affection with no strings attached.
I can be a little shy at first, but once I feel comfortable, my friendly and gentle nature shines through. I get along well with other dogs, and with a bit of patience, I’ll happily become someone’s loyal sidekick. I’m looking for a calm, devoted family who understands that this is my fresh start — and who is ready to commit to me for the rest of my days.
Since I’ve never lived with children, I would do best in an adult home or one with older, respectful kids. I’ve spent enough time on my own, so a family that isn’t gone all day would be ideal. Having another well-balanced dog in the home could also help show me the ropes and build my confidence.
Like many dogs coming from a breeding environment, I’ll need help with toilet training, as it simply wasn’t important in my previous life. The good news? I’m a smart cookie, and with patience and consistency, I should catch on quickly. I can be a bit vocal when left alone and bored, so apartment or condo living isn’t the best fit for me. A home with a yard would be a dream — especially if it comes with a chance to learn how to retrieve a ball or catch a frisbee.
