Meet Shakti, a young, bright dog with the sweetest personality and a playful spirit. Recently arrived from the island of Hawaii, this once-unclaimed stray is more than ready to trade island life for a loving forever home.

Shakti loves being part of the action, though she may need a minute to warm up when meeting someone new. Once she does, her affectionate nature shines through. She and her buddy Murphy can play all day long, so she may truly enjoy the company of another dog. If she joins a home with a canine companion, it’s important that her adopter understands and manages mealtime appropriately, as Shakti prefers to keep her food to herself.

After a day filled with walks and playtime, Shakti is more than happy to settle in and relax with her people. Once she feels comfortable in her environment, she’s content to curl up beside you and simply unwind—whether you’re reading a book, watching a movie, or taking in a quiet sunset.
