About Augy

Augy is my name and I was classified as an unclaimed stray at Animal Control; I waited and waited and no one showed up.

If I could talk, no doubt I’d have a long story to tell. Now and then I wish I could travel back in time to when I was brave, loved, and protected. Who knows maybe that time never existed – at least I have that to look forward to. I yearn for the day when I will feel that everything is going to be okay; the day when I have a patient and gentle family who will give me the stability I so desperately crave.

I am a handsome Labrador Retriever, who is about 3 years old. So far, I have never met a stranger but I do show some signs of separation anxiety when I am alone or crated. We will need to work on that; time, patience, and a regular routine will help. Although I get along with dogs with a proper introduction, my one true love will be my human.

Since I love the sound of my voice – especially when I am alone – apartment or condo living is just not for me. I’d love to have my own backyard where we can play fetch to my heart’s content. Long walks and adventures are really my favorite activity. You will be amazed at how well I walk on leash.
