About Blue

Blue is a big boy at 90 pounds, and yes — he can look a little imposing at first glance. But behind that solid frame is a truly gentle, affectionate soul who loves everyone, whether they walk on two legs or four.

He may not always ace the first impression. Blue can bark enthusiastically when meeting someone new — his way of announcing, “Who goes there?” Calmly ignore him for a few seconds and you’ll quickly discover the real Blue: a loyal, tail-wagging best friend ready for attention.

Blue is with us at Animatch because his family is moving out of the country and can’t take him along. They entrusted him to our care, and we promised to find him the loving home he deserves.

This boy embraces life. He’s happiest on long walks, playing fetch until your arm begs for mercy, or soaking up a good scratching session. He’s house-trained, can stay home alone for a few hours without redecorating, and genuinely wants to please. He has been known to counter surf, so keeping food out of reach is a must — after all, temptation is real!

Blue would benefit from a refresher on leash manners, but with consistency (and perhaps a liver treat or two), he’ll rise to the occasion. He hasn’t lived with children before, so a home with respectful older kids who understand how to interact with a large dog would suit him best.
