About Jake

My name is Jake and I arrived with Lola because sadly we lost our human. I am the shy one of the duo but I am going to put on a brave face and take a giant step in trusting that Animatch will give me a second chance at living my senior years surrounded by a caring family.

Are you looking to do the ultimate in good deeds? Then, consider adopting a senior dog. I know that everyone is lined up for a bouncy, cute, puppy or young dog – they are jumping out at you from every rescue site. Hard to resist, I know – little fluffballs with all their teeth! But let me tell you, at 11.5 years old, I still have plenty of years to snuggle and offer you my loyal companionship. Remember, wisdom comes with age and I am well aware of what it takes to be a family member.

At times, I am uneasy about being overly handled and retreat into my shell, so I ask that you take things slow and easy at first. I won’t give up on you and I expect the same. An adult home would best suit me as I have always lived with a senior – grabby hands and the youthful energy of young children might be too much for me. I would really like to get back into doing daily exercise – walks around the neighbourhood would be so much fun to do together.
