Up until recently, my life was exactly what every dog dreams of — a devoted human, daily walks, cozy naps, and plenty of affection. Sadly, my person’s serious illness meant we had to part ways. It broke both our hearts, but Animatch promised to help me find another loving home.

Because I’m a senior fellow who isn’t used to kennel life, one of Animatch’s wonderful foster moms welcomed me into her home. She calls me the perfect houseguest! I’m calm, polite, and my easy-going charm wins everyone over. I get along well with the resident dog and, while I haven’t officially met any cats, I’m told I’d probably do just fine with them too.

At 9 years old, I know what it means to be part of a family — I’m loyal, gentle, and happiest just being near my people. I’d be best in an adult home or one with older, respectful kids.

Now, I’ll admit it: I’ve indulged in a few too many treats over the years. A healthy diet and regular walks (which I love!) will help me shed a few pounds. And when those soulful eyes of mine beg for an extra biscuit, maybe a cuddle instead will do the trick — I can never get too many of those.

What can I say? I’m a little nugget of joy who will make you smile again and again. Adopting an older dog like me means instant companionship, gratitude, and love — no training manuals required.
