UPDATE - OCT. 8:
Hi, Parker here. I've been in a foster home for a couple of weeks now. Foster mom (FM) thinks I'm pretty smart, and calls me "superman" when I get the zoomies. I can run and jump like a gazelle. FM thinks I could be a champion at agility.
I'm living with my foster sister, who just tolerates me. There has been no food or toy aggression between us. I also have been on MANY walks with lots of dogs and things have gone well. I have a bit of leash reactivity, but FM rates it a 2 out of 10, and easily worked on. I am not destructive in the house (unless you call killing and destuffing a squeaky toy destructive), and not much of a barker when I am with someone.
I like car rides, but FM complains about my whining when I get anxious to get to the fun place. I like water, and if there is a puddle or pond, I am in it. Squirrels are fun, but I'm not very good at it, and the squirrels know it!
As a side note, I would consider myself more of a "mini" golden doodle, as I am only 18 pounds. Pictures can be misleading.

Parker is my name and I am in search of an experienced, family who is willing to work with a few of my little quirks. I try very hard to always be on my best behaviour but every now and then I get myself into trouble. You see I protect my prized possessions a little too much – be it a ball, a napkin, or even a dirty sock. If it’s in my mouth, I don’t want anyone getting between me and my “treasure”.
I recently left my family because they felt that they no longer had the time and patience for me. They at least brought me to a safe place and Animatch will do their best to find me a devoted family who will commit to me for the rest of my life.
Now, resource guarding is common in a lot of dogs and the good news is that with proper training, using positive reinforcement, we can both learn how to manage it. I would excel at in training classes; I’m very clever and enjoy putting my brain to good use. I learn new things very quickly, especially when a yummy liver treat is the reward. With a family who is supportive, consistent and loving, I know that I can achieve success.
I would do better as your one and only dog, although if there are no possessions involved, I am not a threat. My dream family must be active, patient, gentle and balance outdoor adventures with plenty of time to relax and bond. I have only lived with teenagers and because of my tendency to “guard” my valuables, respectful children over 12 would best suit me.
If you are ready to dedicate your time, affection, and patience to a happy future, we can make some beautiful memories. I am so ready to feel your love. If you would like to adopt this handsome Goldendoodle, please fill in the Application Form and ask for Parker.
