About Poochy

My name is Poochy. I am a sweet, 9.5-year-old Pomeranian x Poodle who's just beginning my retirement journey. After spending most of my life without a family, I’m now ready to embrace the life of a beloved companion. I may not be familiar with all the ins and outs of family life yet, but I'm eager to learn, especially with a little guidance and patience.

I am not accustomed to the ins and outs of family life, so a friendly, confident dog to show me the ropes would be a big help. Once My name is Poochy. I am a sweet, 9.5-year-old Pomeranian x Poodle who's just beginning my retirement I’m settled in, I’d love to start some training. My Pom-poo friends say we may be small in size, but we’re big on smarts!

Since I've never had a family before, I’d do best in a home with adults or older children who understand how to care for a shy dog like me. Another well-balanced dog would help too. I’m slowly starting to enjoy walks on a leash, and with a bit of practice, I’m sure I’ll be an expert! I’ll need some help with toilet training, as it wasn’t a priority in my previous life, but I’m eager to learn

I recently had a major dental – not too many teeth remained. The few that are left were cleaned. Animatch really recommends that adopters be aware that teeth cleaning must be done to keep me healthy. I have wonky knees (luxating patella’s) but not to worry I get around just fine! In fact, exercise is good for me in order to strengthen the muscles that support my knees.

I know that you might be reluctant to adopt me because of my age since you know that your time with me will be shorter. Look at it as a privilege -- you will be able to make everyone of my days special. Show me that the world can be a wonderful, loving place. Fill in the Application Form and ask for POOCHY.
