Hey there, I’m Cyrus!

I’m a handsome German Shepherd mix and a proud Northern boy, born in Waskaganish, where there are too many dogs and not enough homes. Lucky for me, I’ve landed at Animatch, where they’re making sure I find a family who will love and care for me for the rest of my life.

Right now, my favorite things in the world are playing, playing… and then playing some more! In between, I squeeze in puppy naps and wait for someone to come by for a belly rub (seriously, I’ll never say no to one). I’m also learning to walk on a leash—so many new smells to sniff! Training? Easy. Hand me a liver treat, and I’ll do just about anything.

Animatch keeps talking about commitment—they won’t just let me go to the first person who raises their hand. They want to be sure my future family will love me just as much in 15 years as they do on day one. Training is a must because too many dogs end up homeless simply because no one took the time to teach them. I’m a fabulous pup and deserve a fabulous family.

I get along well with other dogs, and having a tolerant canine sibling to show me the ropes would be awesome. Got a cat? As long as they don’t mind a little playful chasing now and then, we’ll be just fine. I love kids, too, but they need to understand that I’m teething and still learning my manners.
