Miah here and although I am 8 years old, these Chihuahua genes just don’t quit. You can expect many more years with me. The reason that I am in need of a home is because my humans decided that they wanted to travel. It was devastating and I never want to be without a fixed address again.

I am a sweet and sensitive dog, in need of a loving person to give me a place to call home – a home with a soft bed or two, some tasty food (not too much though), and a whole lot of love! I get along with other dogs but would prefer those that accept that I don’t need to be roughhousing all day long! Experienced older children who are able to respect my space would be okay. I When it comes to rambunctious activity and grabby hands, my sense of humor might fail me. After a nice walk, I know how to chill and take it easy. That’s the great thing about a mature dog like me.

Now let’s get to the issue of my weight. I need lose some weight; it will be better for my health and easier on my legs. Healthy food in the right quantity and lots of leisurely walks around the neighbourhood and we can both shed a few pounds in no time. Remember, you can’t cave every time I give you that look that says “I’m hungry”. Rather than giving me a cookie, give me some undivided attention and affection. I’d like that. I want to make my senior years with you my best ones, so let’s relieve some of the stress on my body that this extra weight causes.
