Tostado here and as you can see by my photo shoot, I look like I am totally overwhelmed by all the turmoil in my life recently. Seven of us recently found ourselves homeless because our family simply had too many dogs.

The large dog residents here woof that it is a good thing to be so small; I weigh about 5 lbs. It is yipped that the little ones go first to permanent homes. I sure hope that they are right. That being the case, I would pack a bag if I had one, because I will be out of here and into your heart in a flash. What a relief that will be – I’ll have my own bed or we can even share yours, my own toys, and all the love and attention I long for. I can’t wait to go to that special place called home.

I’m a puppy who has some catching up to do. There will be toilet training to do; time and patience on your part is all that is needed to show me what that’s all about. Now, because of my size, I am better suited to an adult family or one with older, respectful children. Little, rambunctious kids might trip over me or accidentally step on me and that would not be a good thing!

I do need daily exercise (walks); too many of us little guys end up not being exercised or allowed to just be dogs. Carrying me everywhere will only encourage me to be an armpit piranha and we don’t want that. A family that can offer me stability, training, and lots of attention would be so appreciated.
