Churro here and I am a proud Chihuahua boy. Did you know that my breed is believed to have originated in Mexico in place called Chihuahua. How did I end up at Animatch you wonder. Well, my family simply had too many dogs and not enough time.

You know what else; despite our size we often have big personalities. One thing you have to get straight – we are not ornaments. If you want a pet that stays inside 24/7, I may not be the dog for you. Much as I am not keen on cold, wet weather – and that’s a fact – I do need to get out, go for walks, get fresh air. As with any other breed of dog, it is important to exercise my brain with some sniffing. If you want a pet that is content to live within four walls and never go outdoors, you might consider a hamster. I crave human interaction and would not be content to spend the day all alone.

Also, as you can see, I have four legs and they work very well. So, please let me use them. I may be small but need exercise -- daily walks are a must. Let’s go on a shopping spree for some rain gear and maybe a warm coat for those cool days. I could use a few squeaky toys too.

You know what makes me happy at the end of a busy day …. curling up with you under a soft blanket. Chihuahuas love to burrow. I am okay with other dogs and would probably be okay with a cat. Insofar as young children are concerned – not recommended due to my delicate size and the potential for injury.
