Chester is my name and I am 10 years old (a very young 10!). My family was moving and could not take their four dogs along. It’s no secret that older dogs have a much harder time of being adopted simply because of their age. Keep in mind …. old dogs make such great friends.
I have tons of personality and every day I gear up for a few good walks and then a nap; you are welcome to join me if you like. I am past the stage that I enjoy the grabby hands of young children; an adult home or one with older respectful kids would best suit me. A family who will give me the time to warm up to them and accept me for who I am would be my dream. When I am comfortable and feel safe, I will be bubbling over with love and affection for you.
Sure, I may move more slowly, my muzzle is going grey, and my eyes are a bit cloudy. That is not a reason for dogs of my age to be overlooked. I’d like a home where there are some soft, comfy places to relax. I’ve got a great disposition and tons of love packed into this frosted body ... and without all the pesky, puppy problems! I may not be the youngest or the most beautiful pup on the street, but I am so worth loving.
I get along with other dogs although I prefer older dogs who know their place. With all the recent disruption in my life, I may require a refresher in toilet training. I’m a quick learner when the approach is kind and encouraging.
