Velvet is my name, and I’m a proud Bouvier des Flandres. With my supermodel looks and regal stance, I know I turn heads. But before you rush to fill out an application, please—take a moment to read my full story and do your homework on my breed. I’m not just a pretty face!
I’m here at Animatch because my former family moved into a condo—and apparently, I wasn’t part of the floor plan. No hard feelings; they brought me to the right place. Animatch has promised that my next home will be forever, and that’s exactly what I deserve. I’m looking for someone who can commit to me for at least the next 10 years (hopefully more!).
Bouviers are working dogs at heart—drovers, herders, cart-pullers, even police dogs—and I’m no different. I need both physical and mental exercise to stay happy and balanced. Long walks, outdoor adventures in all weather, and, of course, lots of ball-chucking sessions are a must. (Heads up: your arm will tire out before I do!)
Like most Bouviers, I can be a little reserved with strangers, but once I know you, I’m friendly and loyal. Slow and steady introductions work best. I haven’t lived with children before, and I’ve been known to get a little overexcited around them—so older, dog-savvy kids would be the best match for me. I’m a big fan of jumping when I’m happy, so watch your coffee cups!
I’ve had a bit of training, but more wouldn’t hurt—and what better way for us to build trust and a strong bond? I’m smart and eager to please.
Oh, and here’s a fun fact: I love my crate. It’s my little sanctuary when I need to relax and recharge. No need to shut the door—I just like knowing I’ve got a cozy hideaway to escape the chaos when needed. Don’t we all?
So, if you’ve done your research, understand what it means to live with a Bouvier, and you’re ready to offer commitment, consistency, and a whole lot of love, fill out that application. I’ll be packed and ready to go in a flash.
