Cosmo, along with his littermate Kramer, was born on August 2, as part of an unexpected “oops” litter. Unfortunately, their mom and dad were not sterilized, and two months later, Cosmo and his siblings were born. Sadly, many of the pups from this litter were placed with people who didn’t fully consider the long-term responsibilities of dog guardianship.
While puppies like Cosmo bring joy and smiles, every new pup born means one less home for the countless adoptable dogs already waiting for a family. Unplanned litters contribute to the overpopulation crisis, where healthy dogs often face an uncertain future.
Cosmo and Kramer arrived at Animatch underweight, without vaccinations, and with parasites. Thanks to the team at Animatch, they’ve received the care and attention they need to start their journey on the right paw. Before going to their new homes, both will be sterilized to prevent contributing to the cycle of overpopulation.
Cosmo is an active, energetic puppy who will require plenty of exercise now and throughout his adolescence and adulthood. He’s eager to learn and will benefit from basic training to grow into a well-behaved and well-adjusted adult dog. As with all puppies, it’s essential that Cosmo finds a home where he won’t be left alone for long periods. He’ll need time, attention, supervision, and exposure to new sights, sounds, and people to develop into a confident, socialized companion.
If you're ready to help Cosmo grow into the wonderful dog he’s destined to be, please consider adopting him (or his brother, Kramer). Together, we can give Cosmo the bright future he deserves, one that’s free of the overpopulation crisis that so many puppies face.
