Patch is a sweet senior who’s eager to get back to being a cherished family dog. Sensitive to loud noises, Patch’s previous home, which included a toddler and newborn, became too overwhelming for him. While he was wonderful with the children, the sound of crying would cause him to howl until it stopped. With heavy hearts, his family had to make a tough decision.

You might notice that Patch has cherry eye in both eyes, but don’t worry—it’s not painful. He’ll be seeing the vet soon and will likely have surgery to correct it, helping him get back to his usual self.

Despite his age, Patch is a spunky little guy who enjoys neighborhood walks and still loves his toys, so a trip to the pet store would be a fun outing. He gets along with other dogs and would be happy with older, respectful children. After a busy day, his favorite thing to do is cuddle up with his human for some TV time and affection. He has so much love to give and is always looking for cuddles.

Patch is hoping to find a new family who can look beyond his age and appreciate the many wonderful years he still has to offer—without the challenges of puppy behavior!
