Hi, I'm Ted, and I'm hoping to become someone's "Golden" boy very soon! After spending my first five years with a family, adjusting to life at the Animatch Centre has been a bit tough. Everyone here is kind and patient, but what I truly miss is having my very own family.

I was given up because my previous humans no longer had the time for me, and I spent far too many hours alone. Now, I’m looking for a fresh start with someone who can offer me love, companionship, and plenty of quality time.

Here’s what you need to know about me: I’d prefer to be your one and only—no other pets, please, especially cats! I haven’t lived with kids before, so I think I’d do best with older, respectful children who can understand my need for space. Oh, and if you’ve got a stash of tennis balls or frisbees, we’re going to be best friends! Retrieving is in my blood, and I never get tired of it.

I do have a bit of "stranger danger," which means I'm cautious around new people. I need a gentle, patient family who will let me approach and build trust at my own pace. Once I feel safe, I promise I’ll be your most loyal companion. If you’ve ever earned the love of a shy dog, you know that the bond we’ll share is incredibly rewarding. Training will help boost my confidence, too.

When it comes to walks, I could use some work—I’m more of a "dragger" than a walker right now. But with a little patience and training, we can turn that around. After a day of fun and play, I’ll be more than happy to curl up at your feet while we binge some Netflix.
