First, you must fully appreciate how lucky you would be to have me as part of your family. Wouldn’t want you taking for granted what a sweet, sensitive, and lovable Chi I am.
My name is Osha and just like a fine wine at 7 years old I am aging beautifully. Believe it or not I was an unclaimed stray. Because I was somewhat traumatized by this unexpected change in my life, Animatch felt that I could use the one-on-one attention of an experienced Foster Mom. She has truly restored my faith in humans.
My Foster Mom says that I am a treasure and will add that I am one of the most affectionate Chis that she has ever met. I am good with other dogs who respect my small stature and I absolutely adore my Foster Dad.
Now, I am a Chihuahua and quick to sound the alarm and although my FM says that I respond well to correction, it is probably better to avoid apartment/condo living. Older children over 10-12 would be just fine too as they are old enough to understand how to show a wee gal some respect.
In addition to some nice soft doggy beds, I do enjoy cuddling up with my human at the end of the day. In the beginning, you can provide me with a safe and quiet place to relax if I get overwhelmed. If you like watching movies, I can be your girl!
Of course, a refresher in toilet training can be expected. I am doing very well at my Foster Mom’s but you know how it goes with Chis … any disruption in our lives sets us back a few steps. I do go on pee pads which is handy for those frigid days in winter.
