Rossy just had another photo shoot and looks like a super model. Rossy has been hanging out with one of our Volunteer Foster Moms and it has been confirmed ... she's a great dog. Read on for news from FM .......
- Rossy has been living in a foster home, and is now ready to find a home of her own. She is a calm, very happy dog. She loves her walks, as all dogs do, and is especially fond of water. Give her a stream, or lake, and she is in it. She hasn't warmed up to the inground pool though.
She has no issues with large or small dogs. She does have high prey drive, and will take you down the sidewalk if a squirrel, bird, or rabbit is spotted. She is not leash aggressive, or food aggressive. Rossy would do well in an obedience course to help you bond with her, and strengthen (ok, teach her to respond to commands). Her response to "come" is: do I see something more interesting, does she have a treat in her hand, or, I just don't feel like it!
If you are looking to landscape your backyard, Rossy can help, as she is a serial hole digger. It also helps if you have a very GOOD vacuum, or you have black rugs and furniture, as she sheds like a husky.
I made the mistake of leaving a pair of socks on the floor, and when I put them on, the toes were gone. Squeaky toys are meant to be destroyed in seconds, so we have switched to indestructible toys. She sleeps through the night, and will get up on the couch or bed if you allow it.
Rossy's wish list for a family:
Be active, and take me everywhere with you.
Kids are ok
Teach me new things
Take me places with water
Have or visit a cottage on a lake (you get bonus points for this in her mind!)
You can't go wrong with this happy-go-lucky girl.
Looking for sweet, calm, and gentle? Look no further!
Hi there! I’m Rossy, a one-year-old Northern girl who recently arrived at Animatch from Kuujjuarapik. I’m a pretty awesome dog, if I do say so myself. Where I come from, there are simply too many dogs, but now I have a chance to find my forever home, and I couldn't be more excited.
Winter is my absolute favorite season! I love the snow and the cold, but I need exercise all year round to stay happy and healthy. Whether it’s daily walks, hikes, or any kind of adventure, I’m up for it. Once I’ve had my fill of fun, I’m more than happy to chill out with my human.
I get along well with other dogs, but being a Northern girl, I can pass on the cat company. Some training would be great for me because I have such potential. I’m a real people-pleaser, and I won’t say no to a liver treat!
I have all the makings of an awesome family pet. Could you be the lucky family to welcome me home? Fill in an application and tell Animatch all about yourself. I can’t wait to meet you!
