UPDATE - JANUARY 10: Lili is one of those special dogs who is benefitting from some one on one attention from her awesome Foster Mom. Please take a look at the strides she has taken in the past two months in the update provided by her Foster Mom. All that is missing now is a committed family.

Lili is ready for her forever home. She has come a long way in her two months in a foster home.

She arrived pretty much afraid of everything. Understandably since for two years she was not walked or socialized. She now lives with 3 humans and 3 dogs and has thrived.

She is a very athletic dog who would excel in agility, scent detection and other dog sports. She loves to walk and would probably go 6 times a day instead of 3! She is very receptive to my voice and follows my lead.

Lili is extremely affectionate. Once she knows you she can’t get enough of you, yet she is not needy. As bouncy as she is on her walks she also knows how to relax … thank you Jordan for teaching her that.

Lili loves to run. She is very attached to me so she can run free in the woods with her FS Jordan. She has great Recall. She would love to find a family where somebody would take her jogging.

Lili loves to play with her toys and is not destructive. She also likes to play with Jordan. We feel that she would flourish in a family with another, playful, confident dog her size or smaller. She gets intimidated by large dogs and is not comfortable at dog parks. Lili is great in the car and loves Road Trips.

Whoever adopts her will have one thing to really work on. She is used to being a one-person dog and for two years was snappy with the other person. If she is adopted by a couple they will need to be 50-50 in the attention, play, and exercise that they provide for her. It may take a few months however it will be so worth it in the long run.

This is Lili’s second time at Animatch. Originally from Dominican Republic, she was one of six pups and the last to be adopted. Lili is back because she really did not like the cat and had some difficulty warming up to one of the humans.

Whoever adopts Lili may be starting again from square one. The upset in her life has set her back a little but we are positive that if we choose the right environment (cat-free, of course) she will blossom.

This gentle dog is looking for a home with someone that has experience, patience, a calm lifestyle and the time to help Lili be the best dog she can be.

When you first meet Lili, she will often be on the other side of a room, trembling a little, and avoiding any possible interaction. If you give her a few minutes and speak to her softly, you might just make a friend. Once she is comfortable, she is a love bug.
