Holly here and I have actually been at Animatch for quite some time. When I arrived, I was not much more than a puppy myself and suddenly I was thrust into motherhood. My puppies are all adopted and my puppy rearing days are behind me. It’s my turn to feel special.
It took a while for me to be posted on the website as I had a few behaviours to work through. I may never be a dog park kind of dog but I now get along with them after a proper introduction. In fact, I enjoy the dogs in my playgroup.
I lived in Chisasibi before coming to Animatch; I spent a lot of my time tied up and I was somewhat protective of my “stuff”, including the young children in my family. I think I would enjoy a family that understands and respects dogs. Older children might be a better fit for me. If you have another dog, we could meet and see how it goes. I draw the line at cats though – that’s a definite no.
I have come a long way and I now need an understanding family with whom I can continue my journey. One that sees the value of training; I actually like the reward-based type (nothing like a liver treat to get your attention).
So, if you feel that you can provide me with the exercise, training, and patience that I deserve, you might be the one chosen to spring me from here. Fill out the application form and tell me all about yourself. If you are lucky enough to meet me, you won’t be disappointed.
Please note that due the volume of applications, we are unable to respond to all applicants and ONLY those being considered will be contacted. We thank you for your understanding. The adoption application link is posted below and the adoption process is outlined on the website. Animatch asks that you read the Adoptee’s bio in its entirety before applying to ensure you meet the requirements for the dog.
