Drogo is my name and I am simply stunning.  I am on the lookout for a family who will understand that even though I am eight years old, they will be my first real family.  I hope to eventually enjoy a dog’s life of chasing squirrels, rolling in the grass, discovering new scents on my daily walks, and the loving feeling of a warm lap.  I am not there yet.  Just give me time.

Like all dogs with my background, I tend to be shy at first since I haven’t experienced much individual attention.  I am small but that does not mean that you must carry me, I enjoy using my legs.  In fact, I look forward to an activity that is new to me – going for walks!  I will walk proudly beside you and be happy to discover the everyday sights and sounds of my new neighbourhood. Just give me time.

You might have to work with me on toilet training as I am not certain what that is all about. It wasn’t important in my previous life.  I am counting on you to help me with that.  Just give me time.

Another well-balanced dog in the home to show me the ropes is important. At this point, I understand the four-legged creatures a better than the two legged.  I have also been introduced to cats and have no problem with them.  Insofar as kids are concerned, older and respectful would be best. Sudden movement and grabby hands scare me. Someday, I intend to be an affectionate and cuddly fellow.  Just give me time.
