McGill is back and once again searching for his forever home. Sometimes, adoptions don’t work out, and it’s no one’s fault. In McGill’s case, his behavior was a bit unpredictable, especially around the children in the family, and it was decided that this wasn’t the right environment for him.
This time around, Animatch is looking for an experienced, adult-only home—one committed to training and ready to start right away. McGill has the potential to be a wonderful companion, but he needs guidance, consistency, and patience to thrive.
Like all puppies, McGill will require regular exercise, socialization, and toilet training. A home where he isn’t left alone all day is essential for his well-being. Because he’s quick to sound the alarm (barking), apartment or condo living is not suitable for him.
McGill is eager for a fresh start with the right family. If you think you’re the one, please fill out an adoption application. He’s waiting to meet you!
⚠️ Please note: Animatch will only contact applicants who meet the necessary requirements and who we feel could be a potential match for McGill.
Hi there, I’m McGill! I, along with my four littermates, was born right here at the Animatch Centre. Our mom, Yale, is a sweet little Yorkie mix who arrived from the Northern Community of Ouje-Bougoumou in search of a better life. Just days after her arrival, on November 27, she surprised everyone by giving birth to five adorable pups—us! As for our dad, well, he’s a bit of a mystery and has remained “in the wind.”
While mom has done an amazing job raising us, it’s now her turn to enjoy some well-deserved pampering. She already has a loving family lined up and will be saying goodbye to us soon. She trusts that Animatch will find each of us the perfect forever home, and we’re excited to start this next chapter of our lives.
Here’s what you should know about us:
• Commitment is key. We’re looking for families who are ready to love and care for us for the next 12 to 15 years.
• We’re social butterflies. We get along well with other dogs, cats, and absolutely adore human attention.
• We’ll be small. Mom is under 10 lbs., so we’ll likely stay on the tiny side. Because of this, homes with children aged 8+ would be ideal for our safety.
• Training is important. Toilet training will be your first task, and puppy classes will help us grow into well-behaved canine citizens. Small dogs like us are more than capable of being polite and well-mannered!
• Exercise and playtime. We may be small, but we’ll need daily walks and plenty of playtime to keep us healthy and happy.
If you’re ready for the joys (and challenges!) of raising a puppy, please fill out the Application Form.
A quick note: Due to the high number of applications Animatch is likely to receive, only applicants who meet the criteria will be contacted. We hope you’ll be the lucky one to welcome me into your family!

Animatch will be requestion a $250.00 deposit which will be reimbursed when puppy is returned for sterilization on the date determined by Animatch. This is not negotiable.
Animatch has been doing pediatric sterilization for nearly 20 years. We are conscious that many might not agree or their vets suggest sterilization be done after six months, one year, etc. However, shelter/rescue veterinary care is practiced at Animatch and for us the benefits far outweigh the disadvantages.
Thank you for your understanding.
