Let me give you my three simple requirements: endless love, tasty liver treats, abundant toys.  Easy-peasy.  But, if you ask the people around here, they are looking for so much more from whoever adopts me.

They keep talking about commitment – yeah, yeah, I know.  Chances are that I’ll be around for 10 to 12 years and they want you to be by my side at the finish line.  Then there is the health care thing that they keep harping on … I’m as healthy as a horse!  I know, they keep stressing I should be checked on a regular basis to make sure that everything is a-okay.  Plus, they strongly suggest that you put some money aside in case of something unforeseen. Then of course there is that all-important training that they keep repeating over and over again ad nauseum.  The Volunteers are tired of being jumped on and knocked over by us big galoots who are totally lacking in doggy etiquette.  Let’s stop this behaviour before it gets out of control.  

They sound like a bunch of worry warts to me but hey, I’m not even one year old and I’m homeless; I am not going to tell you how old some of them are.  This is not their first rodeo and they see hundreds of dogs pass through these doors year after year.
