My name is Niky and I have a dream where I am part of a family and Animatch agrees that now it will happen.  I recently made the long journey from Tunisia, although I am sad that I had to leave so many behind.  Special thanks to my rescuers who persist in their goal of making a difference one dog at a time. If not for them, I would not have this chance.  Despite a harsh beginning, I will never feel alone again.  

If you adopt me, you must be ready to start from square one.  Slow and steady with lots of socialization, encouragement, and rewards.  Another well-balanced dog in the home to show me the ropes would be wonderful. I am smart and once I am in my permanent home, I know that I can adapt.  I am learning that walks can be fun and there is no need to be afraid when my human is close by.  If you adopt me, we take little steps each and every day, it’s called patience!
