If I had three wishes, what would they be?  I don’t need three, I only want one.  My wish is to find another family to call my own.  I wish for a family that is patient, gentle, and full of fun.  One that will love me for all my days even when my muzzle is grey and my steps are slow.  

I am on the lookout for the family who will provide the loyalty, training and guidance I crave!  A family to lounge with me on the couch, to take me on walks and hikes, and to ensure that I am a good canine citizen.   To love me and commit to me wholeheartedly.   In return, I promise that I will show my appreciation every day with doggy kisses and tail wags (my tail may be short, but it wags like crazy).  

Now often dogs from other countries are street dogs or arrive with no history. Not me.   I did have a family in the Dominican Republican who took care of me.  They brought me to a free spay-neuter clinic because I had multiple litters.  When my family came to pick me up a few days later, they saw how well I was doing and how happy I was.  They agreed to let me go to a better life.  They were sad to see me go and asked if the person who adopts me could send some photos of me in my new home.  They did their best for me but believed that I deserved more.

My rescuers called me a bundle of joy and were amazed at how fast I can wag this tail – usually in appreciation of scratches and belly rubs.  They also said that my favorite place in the world is close to my human.  Wherever you are, I would love to be close by.  In fact, although I get along with other dogs, I would be quite happy as your one and only so that I can soak up all the attention.
