I know that everyone is lined up for a bouncy, cute, puppy or young dog – they are jumping out at you from every rescue site. Hard to resist, I know – little fluffballs with all their teeth! But let me tell you, at 10 years old, I still have plenty of years to snuggle and offer you my loyal companionship. Remember, wisdom comes with age and I am well aware of what it takes to be a family member.
My name is Minou (yes, I know someone needs glasses!) I am a puppy at heart but without the puppy problems – no baby teeth to chew on your furniture (in fact, I may lose a few) and no yappy energy to wear you out. I have 10 years experience in the fine art of being a human companion. Sadly, I probably had a home but they didn’t come looking for me when I was brought to animal control. Now I’m looking at my second chance at living my senior years surrounded by a caring family – one committed to keeping me for the rest of my days.
This old boy has been through a lot recently, so I ask that you take things slow and easy at first. I won’t give up on you and I expect the same. An adult home or one with older respectful kids would best suit me as Animatch has no history on me – grabby hands and the youthful energy of young children might be too much for me. I would really like to get back into doing daily exercise – walks around the neighbourhood would be so much fun to do together.
