Max passed away

This week we said goodbye to Max who was 14 years old. It is true when they say; He might only be here for a part of your life, but for him, you are his whole life. We were his whole life especially in regards to me, basically my little body guard or they used to say my shadow. He was a great dog and even though we only got him at 7 years old we were able to give him a good home surrounded by people who loved him. Three years ago he was diagnosed with diabetes and became blind, but this didn't stop him from having a normal life. This is mostly to bring awareness that even though everyone wants to bring home that new puppy, there are so many others dogs needing a home, some who were either left behind because people didn’t want them or they were abused. Max was our second dog who was adopted from Animatch. It is a wonderful organization that strive to help the ones who don’t have a voice and give them a chance at finding a beautiful place to call home with the right kind of “parents”. It is an amazing feeling to adopt a dog who really needs it and especially like we did for Max; took a chance on an older dog and gave him 7 good years. He now gets to join my big teddy bear Nike in heaven. We will miss you Max….RIP
