Marley

It is with profound and unbearable sadness that I share the fact that we unexpectedly had to say goodbye to our wonderful little Marley today.

Without going into all the awful details, it seems that Marley suffered a severe pancreatic attack and coupled with the fact that she was diagnosed as diabetic, the prognosis was grim.  The vet explained that IF they managed to successfully treat Marley this time, in all likelihood she would suffer from future attacks - each of which would cause her considerable pain.

Knowing the difficult life this little treasure had already lived, I couldn't bring myself to putting her through even more tests, treatments, pain and yet more of her days lived in a cage.

I hope you can all understand that our decision was taken only out of love and caring for Marley.  We will miss her terribly, as she was cherished by our family and everyone who came to our home just adored her.  There's a very big hole in my heart, but I thank Animatch for giving us the all-too-brief years of happiness we did have with Marley.
