Hi it’s Hewey…just checking in!

Hey everyone! It’s me! My new name is Ranger, but you may remember me as Hewey. I was one of 3 really lucky brothers who were adopted into loving homes recently. My new life is fabulous! I live with a family of 5 humans...momma, papa, a girl teenager and twin 10 year old girls. Everyone adores me and they take care of me like they’ve been doing it all their lives. They are the pack leaders and that’s all cool with me. When I walked into my new home, I was calm and happy. Probably due to the wonderful start I had with foster mom, Sheri. I really liked my crate from the beginning and slept through the night by the 2nd night (yeah, I know…I’m just a really smart fella). House training is not as hard as everyone thinks. It’s pretty easy when a human is ‘hypnotizing’ you into doing your business…”Ranger pp, Ranger pp, Ranger pp…” I’m already taking myself to the front door but in the future I’ll try to allow myself a bit more than 5 seconds to get on the grass…my humans can really jump up fast sometimes! My name should maybe have been King Kong, 'cuz man do I LOVE my Kong! My life is good. I have all the fleece blankies that a puppy could want. I can already ‘fetch’, ‘bring it back’, ‘drop it’, ‘sit’, ‘wait’ and I LOVE to play the recall game when I run full-tilt like a racehorse to my people! My momma clipped my pointy little nails the other day and I just slept on my back through it all, loving my ‘puppycure’. She even files them…ahhhhh. I’ve met lots of furry 4-legged friends, big and small. My rough, noisy playing scares my humans a little, but they have to understand that I’m part lab and that’s how we play. I am already 13 weeks old and growing so fast! I already weigh in at over 16 lbs!! Putting on almost 2 lbs/week gives me quite an appetite but I also love my random ‘right now’ snoozes, in every weird puppy yoga position imaginable. I want to thank everyone at Animatch for all you did for my brothers and me. I’m happy to report that I’m gonna see my bro (formerly Lewey, now called Shelby) at puppy obedience! I can’t wait! You are all amazing at Animatch. Please keep up the meaningful work you do. From the bottom of my little puppy heart…THANK YOU!!!
