happy family—and extended family

It all started in 2012 when we adopted our black lab Cassius (formerly pictor)...fast forward 4 years to the summer of 2016; many, walks, kisses, cuddles and belly scratches later and we decided it was time to adopt a brother for Cassius, so introducing Tucker (formerly Djoko from the northern paws project). There were some struggles at the beginning and a couple of "accidents" that will remain unmentioned, but these two brothers are now fast friends- and gang up on us every morning to ensure they get their walkies (no concept of -20 degree weather). The final addition arrived this fall when my sister-in-law decided it was time for an addition to her family and Qila (formerly Qila, also from the northern paws project) was adopted! Qila loves coming over and playing with her two cousins - she terrorizes Tucker, as Tucker used to terrorize Cassius. They are all fast friends, healthy happy and loved! We are all looking forward to these three growing old together...and who knows maybe with even more brothers/sisters/cousins.
