A Female German Shepherd-x presently Adopted

My name is Yuki and I have a dream where I am part of a family and Animatch agrees that now it will happen. At only five months old, I made the long journey from Waskaganish although I am sad that I had to leave so many behind. Special thanks to the Northern Paws Project who persist in their goal of making a difference one dog at a time. Despite a harsh beginning as a stray, I will never feel alone again. The volunteers say that I have a calm and wise aura that will make a family happy to share their life with me. I know and respect my heritage as a Northern Dog but my dream is that someday measures can be put in place to solve the overpopulation of dogs once and for all. Puppies cannot continue to be born without anyone to care for them – for many their fate is death. Winter is the toughest time for us because there is not enough food or proper shelter. I have demodex which is a mite infestation that makes me very uncomfortable and itchy; it is not contagious to humans, dogs or cats. Demodex is treated with medication and medicated baths; I will require a follow up visit with the vet. Despite being uncomfortable, I have a wiggly body and my tail wags whenever I turn a stranger into a friend. Being a Northern Girl l means I absolutely adore open air activities and would best suit an energetic, outdoorsy family. Don’t forget I require a good bit of attention to make up for lost time so I would not be happy spending the day on my own. Rumour has it that I am quite the smarty-pants; I really aim to please. I know that I would be an A-Student in obedience training so let’s make that happen. With your guidance and commitment, I am confident that I can be the dog of your dreams. Let’s make both our dreams come true! Please fill in the Adoption Form if you would like to adopt me.
