A Male Yorkshire Terrier presently Adopted

Wali here with an update.  There is a mystery that many of us Animatch dogs yap about long after all the humans have turned off the lights!  We agree that many of our humans decide to “dump” us rather than take us to a Vet.  By ignoring our problems or ailments, they hope that they might just disappear?  I can’t quite put my paw on why they would do this to a family pet, but it certainly does feel like neglect to us.  Animatch noticed a few things that were off and took me back to the Vet.  Apparently as a result of multiple ear infections, my ear canals are nearly non-existent because they are so small.  I have medication and we are hoping that will help.  Also, I have chronic allergies so I am presently receiving injections that are giving me some relief.  Of course, if a dog has a medical issue and nothing is done, the problem will get worse.  All that to say …. when you bring a dog into you family, you are signing up for more than just a wagging tail greeting you at the door.  Like all dogs, I will love you unconditionally but please don’t make me suffer.  Veterinary care is part of the deal -- you must be prepared for the costs if your pet gets sick.   I am on the road to recovery but I will need regular Veterinary care along the way.  If you feel that you can take care of me for the rest of my life, I promise to be your faithful companion through all your ups and downs.

The name is Wali.  Although I look like something the cat dragged in and I’m in desperate need of a makeover, I am a sweetheart.  As soon as the Animatch groomer gets her hands on me, you will see an amazing transformation.  I arrived here via Animal Control; another unclaimed treasure.  Even if I’ve just gone through a rough patch, I am of the opinion that the show must go on.  I want a family that will love me and appreciate me, and know that through all of life’s twists and turns I will be there for them.  I’d prefer an adult home or one with respectful older children; grabby hands and the boisterous energy of young children might be too much for me.  I prefer the fun yet gentle type of folks who will make me part of their everyday routine – lots of walks, car rides, and plenty of belly rubs.  A little refresher in toilet training might be required, but Terriers are so smart I know it won’t take long.   Like I said, the show must go on.  So, would you like to take on the starring role in my life?  I can be your numero uno; I guarantee that I will do a fine job.   Just fill in the Adoption Form and write my name …. WALI
