A Male Chihuahua-x presently Adopted

Update - Nov 24:  Everyone at Animatch was confident when I first arrived that with my outgoing personality and adorable face, I would be adopted quickly.  Here I am still waiting for my family to find me.  Valdez here and all I want for Christmas is a home.  I’m incredibly friendly, I get along with dogs, and I can even co-exist with a cat – the perfect dog for the right family.  By the looks of the Adoptees on the website, the longer you wait for a home, the harder it is to get adopted.  It seems as though nobody wants a dog who has been waiting for a long time.  All I want is a human who will commit to me and love me like I deserve – a home where I would feel safe enough to rest easy.  So, when you look at dogs for adoption, take a chance on one like me who’s been waiting for some time.  It doesn’t mean that I am a bad dog, it just means that I’m waiting on you.  Fill in the Adoption Form and make my wish of a home for Christmas come true.

Well, here’s some good news for you! My name is Valdez and I am available for adoption. Before you get too wound up, there are a few things that I will ask of you. First of all, you must fully appreciate how lucky you are to have me. Secondly, you must always have a collar and a tag on me – being homeless is not a walk in the park. Yes, I am one of those unclaimed treasures. Luckily, I find myself at Animatch where they have promised that my next trip will be to my home. Being a Chihuahua mix, means that I am always on the lookout for trespassers, squirrels and falling leaves and I will alert you with a piercing bark! You got it … no apartments or condos for me. I’m a true little gentleman so long as you treat me kindly and with respect. I do get along well with other dogs but would most likely prefer having your undivided attention. I tend to react when meeting dogs on leash so that is something we must work on. At five years old, my attention span is much longer than a puppy so I could benefit a lot from obedience training. I would delight in the attention of older children who are able to understand that I am not a toy. So how about you provide me with a long-term commitment and in return I will supply you with a lifetime of companionship. Sounds like you’re the real winner! Fill in the Adoption Form and ask for Valdez.
